“Put Me In Coach!”

Arbeca’s Recorda Me

“Ray”

Ray as a puppy on left front with his littermates

My name is “Ray” and right up front I will tell you I will never win any ribbons in any competition except the most important one of all: first place in your heart. I was born with slightly impaired vision but as you see above, I get around quite well and really you would not notice my having any problems at all. Besides, my hearing test (BAER) was perfect.

I’m a big guy, with beautiful rich red coat with flashy white markings. Age: one and a half years. My temperament is  good as it gets in my breed. That is due to my first rate parents Fresca and Ferran. I have no issues with anything and enjoy other people, places, dogs….you name it. Wherever I go, people are drawn to me. I really like your species. Therapy work would suit me perfectly. I would be excellent with a family even with young children. It would be super to be a pal and to grow up along with an active youngster or a sidekick to a young at heart adult. My house manners are darn good: very clean in my habits and not destructive.

OK, enough from Ray. His breeder can attest to the truth of his statements and would just add that he really is great dog. Please contact Teddy Burke or Erica Kasper if you are considering being that special person to give him the forever home he so much deserves. He will reward you many times over.

Meet Legend

Neutered male, 7 years old, wire coated Ibizan Hound

Available through IHCUS rescue.  Please email rescue @ ihcus.org for more information on adopting Legend.

We are fostering Legend, he is a sweet boy that you would never guess is 7. He is a little mischievous (only in a good way) as most Ibizans are. He's very smart and is very food motivated so will be fun to train. He loves to use his brain and figure things out. He's very entertaining and will make you laugh. He loves his dog toys and really likes a kong stuffed with treats when he goes in his crate. He is not shy and likes every person he meets. He does have energy but since he's 7 he won't need as much exercise as a young Ibizan. A walk everyday or a romp in a fenced in yard should be adequate for him. He is crate trained and housebroken. He is good for his baths and nail trims. He knows his name and listens well. He does like to counter surf but we are working with him on that! He is ok with cats but it must be a dog savvy cat. He likes to try and play with them.

Meet CC

Spayed female. 4 years old, Ibizan Hound

Available through IHCUS rescue.  Please email rescue @ ihcus.org for more information on adopting CC.

We are fostering CC, she is very sweet and likes attention and will follow "her person" around the house. She prefers to sleep on her own bed then snuggle up with you. She is a nervous girl and is shy around new situations and people she doesn't know. She is slowly learning to live in a house as part of a family and getting used to the different noises and objects. Sudden movement, loud noises, and lots of commotion can stress her out. She really loves other dogs and would love another playful dog to be with (big or small). A confident and stable dog will help her feel more comfortable in her surroundings. She is a fairly active girl and will need some way to release her energy like running around a fenced in yard with another dog. She would do best with a fence at least 5ft. She is good around cats. She is crate trained and housebroken. We are confident she can work through her issues but she will need time and a patient, understanding adoptive home. A mature household with sighthound experience would be best for CC.
