Shay's
coat is considered a "broken coat" not quite smooth and
not quite wire either. He loves sleeping on the bed and
snuggling on the couch, he doesn’t realize how big a boy
he is. He is very clever and has figured out how to open
the baby gate I have to the bedrooms with his front paw.
He also opens the door when he wants to come in from
outdoors and rings a bell to let you know when he has to
go outside.
He is a big, goofy puppy in a 4 year old’s body! While
he is a very sweet boy who loves to snuggle, he really
loves to play. Chew toys are his favorite. He is very
popular at daycare and is getting more comfortable
meeting people though he still shows some signs of
stress of his previous kennel life. He plays well with
my dogs and seems to do best with females. He would be
ok with submissive males. His training has come along
very well, he no longer ‘counter surfs’, and he is crate
trained and housebroken and starting some obedience.
Shay really is a pretty active boy who will need someone
who understands his exercise needs. He does jump baby
gates in his foster home so a proper fence is
recommended to keep him in as Ibizans easily jump 4-5
feet fences.
